1. Overview
APN Cloud respects user privacy and provides a clear process for requesting deletion of personal data associated with an APN Cloud customer account. These instructions also apply when a user signs in to APN Cloud with a supported third-party authentication provider, including Facebook Login or Google Login.
This page explains what information may be received through social sign-in, how to request deletion, how revoking a third-party connection differs from deleting APN Cloud-held data, and when limited records may need to be retained for legitimate legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, contractual, or dispute-resolution purposes.
2. Information We May Receive Through Social Login
When you choose to sign in with Facebook or Google, APN Cloud may receive limited information needed to authenticate you and connect the login to your APN Cloud customer account. The exact information depends on the provider, the permissions you grant, and the information available in your account.
Typical authentication data may include your name, email address, basic profile information, a unique provider account identifier, and a profile image where available. APN Cloud does not need unrelated social data such as private messages, posts, friend lists, birthdays, gender, or other profile information for normal customer authentication unless a separate feature clearly requires it and you are informed beforehand.
3. How to Request Deletion of Your APN Cloud Data
To request deletion of personal data associated with your APN Cloud account, email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. Please send the request from the email address associated with your APN Cloud account where possible. You may also submit a support request through the APN Cloud Client Area if an account or privacy support option is available there.
For security, APN Cloud may ask you to verify that you control the account before a deletion request is completed. Do not send your Facebook password, Google password, one-time authentication code, or other third-party account credentials to APN Cloud.
4. Facebook Login Data Deletion
If you used Facebook Login to access APN Cloud, you may ask APN Cloud to delete personal data associated with that login connection. After a valid request is verified, APN Cloud will remove applicable Facebook Login data and the related connection from APN Cloud systems where deletion is legally and technically permitted.
You may also remove APN Cloud from the apps and websites connected to your Facebook account. Removing the Facebook connection can stop future authentication through that connection, but it does not necessarily delete information that has already been stored in your APN Cloud customer account. If you want APN Cloud-held information deleted, submit a Data Deletion Request directly to APN Cloud.
5. Google Login Data Deletion
If you used Google Login to access APN Cloud, you may request deletion of personal information associated with your Google authentication connection. After verification, APN Cloud will remove applicable Google Login data and the related connection where deletion is legally and technically permitted.
You may separately revoke APN Cloud access from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access can stop future authentication through the connection, but it may not automatically erase information stored in your APN Cloud customer account. To delete APN Cloud-held information, submit a Data Deletion Request directly to APN Cloud.
6. Revoking Login Access vs. Deleting an APN Cloud Account
Revoking a Facebook or Google connection and deleting an APN Cloud account are different actions. Revoking third-party access stops or limits the provider connection. It does not automatically remove billing records, support history, account information, invoices, or other information that may already exist in APN Cloud systems.
If you want your APN Cloud account and associated personal information deleted, you must request deletion from APN Cloud using the process described on this page.
7. What Happens After We Receive a Request
After receiving a deletion request, APN Cloud will review the request, verify the account where appropriate, identify the data linked to the account or social-login connection, and determine what information can be deleted and what information must be retained for a permitted purpose.
Once the request is validated, APN Cloud will process deletion or de-identification of applicable personal data in accordance with applicable law, security requirements, contractual obligations, and technical limitations. Where a record must be retained, access will be limited to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
8. Information That May Need to Be Retained
A deletion request does not always mean every record can be erased immediately. APN Cloud may retain limited information when necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, maintain accounting or tax records, prevent fraud or abuse, investigate security incidents, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or establish and defend legal claims.
Examples may include invoices, payment records, transaction references, security logs, abuse-prevention records, or support records that are required for a legitimate purpose. APN Cloud will seek to retain only what is reasonably necessary for that purpose and will not use retained information for unrelated purposes.
9. Backups and Technical Copies
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, disaster-recovery systems, or technical logs until those copies are overwritten or expire through normal system processes. Information retained only in backups should not be restored for ordinary business use unless required for recovery, security, legal, or compliance reasons.
10. Third-Party Service Providers
APN Cloud may use service providers to operate hosting infrastructure, security, email, support, backups, analytics, payments, or other business systems. Where a service provider processes personal data on APN Cloud’s behalf, deletion may require action within those systems as well. APN Cloud will handle applicable deletion requests in line with its arrangements with those providers and applicable data-protection requirements.
11. Account Security and Identity Verification
To protect users from unauthorized account deletion, APN Cloud may ask for reasonable information to confirm account ownership. Verification may include confirmation from the registered email address, account identifiers, recent account information, or another proportionate verification method.
APN Cloud will not ask for your Facebook password, Google password, full card password, or unrelated credentials as part of a data-deletion request.
